Chelsea Tonubbee holds a Master of Music degree with an emphasis in Viola Performance from Pittsburg State University. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, she assisted the violin/viola professor with the String Techniques course for undergraduate Music Education majors, and provided private instruction to non-Music major students. Throughout her graduate studies, Chelsea served as Principal Violist in the Southeast Kansas Symphony Orchestra and led weekly viola sectionals. Additionally, she worked as coordinator for the university string quartet, performing at events on campus and throughout the community. She has also had the privilege of performing regularly with several established ensembles in Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas, including the Southern Symphony Orchestra (2010-20), Heartland Opera Theater (2013-20), and the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra (2017-20).
Chelsea has been teaching violin and viola students of varying ages and skill levels since 2013. As an educator, her passion lies in teaching private lessons, as she enjoys being able to connect more personally with each student and teach in a more individualized manner that would not be possible in a classroom setting. Chelsea is a Texas native, currently residing in Holiday, Florida.
