While in Troy, he served as the elected Band Captain/President for two years and was trumpet section leader in several performing groups such as Symphony Band, Concert Band, and Jazz Ensemble. David was honored to be asked to perform “Napoli Variations for Trumpet” while accompanied by the Troy State Summer Band. While working on his Masters, David was hired as an Adjunct Professor to teach trumpet to undergraduate students. David was also a member of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Band Fraternity.
While in college, David has performed in several church venues, rock bands, soul bands, jazz combos, and for many military ceremonies.
