James Weaver
Piano
James Weaver is a professional music educator with experience teaching ages 4 to adult. He holds a B.A. in Human Development (focus on Education and Psychology) from Eckerd College, along with 10 years of piano study with Rosemary Paulsen.
James has been teaching private and group piano lessons since 2001 in a variety of settings, from public schools and colleges to private music schools.
In addition to teaching, James has composed his own music, including “Three Serene Pieces for a Contemplative Heart”. He has also worked as a Piano Accompanist for over 20 years. As a performer, James won 1st place at the Florida Community College Music Association Symposium (Piano Division Scholarship Competition), in addition to other awards in both performance and composition. He was also selected as a recipient of the Steinway Top Teacher Award.
