Piano – Tampa Location
Since 2018, Lauren has been serving her community through creative piano teaching. Under the tutelage of Dr. Sergio Gallo, Lauren achieved a Master of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy from Georgia State University. With a love of instructional writing and a talent for teaching, Lauren was asked to contribute to the development of GSU’s Group Piano curriculum upon graduating. When she was not practicing or studying, Lauren was accompanying the choir and congregation of Conyers Presbyterian Church, teaching piano at North Fulton School of Music, and serving as secretary of GSU’s Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Collegiate Chapter.
In the past year, Lauren was offered sponsorship funding to attend the Chopin Academy of Atlanta and the Chopin Academy of Vienna, a joint summer program that consisted of masterclasses, lessons, and lectures from internationally acclaimed instructors. During her last semester, Lauren exhibited with Piano Music Database at the 2024 MTNA Conference in Atlanta. Against 13 other competitors, she was awarded the Award of Excellence in the Georgia Music Teachers Association’s Upper College State Auditions. In August 2024, she moved back to her hometown with a vision to keep teaching and performing for her community.
