Maylin is a passionate vocalist, pianist, and double bass player. She is a dedicated music educator with over a decade of performance experience across a variety of genres. With a deep commitment to both artistry and education, she brings a wealth of knowledge and professional training to her students, helping them develop technical skills, confidence, and a love for music.
A graduate of Georgia State University, Maylin holds a Master’s Degree in Music Performance from Georgia State University, building on her Bachelor’s Degree in Double Bass and Chamber Music from the University of Arts in La Habana. Her diverse background includes teaching at the Amadeo Roldán Conservatory in Cuba and serving as a staff musician at Georgia State University, where she further honed her skills as a performer and mentor.
Maylin has been recognized for her contributions to music, earning the prestigious Kingdom of This World Scholarship for her innovative work in music production. She has also received nominations at the Cuerda Viva Festival and Cubadisco Awards, solidifying her reputation as a talented artist and composer.
As an instructor, Maylin is known for her personalized approach to teaching, ensuring that each student receives the guidance they need to grow as a musician. She inspires her students to reach their full potential while fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Maylin is excited to share her knowledge and passion for music with students of all ages and skill levels.
