We had an AWESOME time at our virtual “Spooktacular Student Showcase” this weekend! All of the students did such a great job! We’re so proud of all of the performers and thankful to family and friends who show such wonderful support!

Hoppin’ Holidays in the Park

We are excited to host an outdoor recital for the first time ever!

This event, held at R.E. Olds Park in Oldsmar, features a large stage for performers and a huge lawn area in front of the stage. Parking is available in 3 different lots along Shore Drive. When you arrive, please approach the stage so we can check the performer in and give instructions.

Please plan to bring your own chairs as seating is not provided, and set up at least 6 feet away from other family groups.

Students may perform 1 or 2 pieces with a total performance time not to exceed 4 minutes. Recitals will start every 75 minutes throughout the afternoon, so please exit the lawn area at the end of the performances so that the next group can set up (each recital time will take between 30 and 45 minutes). We look forward to a fun, festive performance!

Hoppin’ Holidays Virtual Performance Party

Creative Keys is thrilled to host our Hoppin’ Holidays Performance Party online over Zoom.

Students, please plan to submit a video performance of 1 or 2 pieces (1 song for vocalists, please) by December 7th (for 12/12 recital) or December 14th (for 12/19 recital). Student performances will be compiled into a showcase for each time slot. On the performance date, students, teachers, family, and friends will meet together over Zoom for a live watch party, where we will applaud and encourage each student.

Our Director, Hayley Fair, will emcee the event. Please talk with your teacher about a plan for your performance and then sign up for a time slot on SignUp Genius. When you are ready to submit your performance video, just click on the link provided on the signup. 5-7 days before the event you’ll receive the Zoom meeting information; feel free to privately share this with family and friends. Performances will be posted on YouTube a few days after the event so you can watch again and share.

We are pleased to welcome Tatyana Carney to the teaching team at Creative Keys Music School!  

Tatyana has been teaching piano privately for over three decades, and finds the greatest joy in helping students ages 5 to adult achieve their goals. She believes everyone is able to learn effectively within a structured environment, and keeping them engaged each step of the way will lead to success! She also makes sure to celebrate both the big and small victories in lessons, whether that’s passing a particularly difficult song or performing for others.

As a student under Ludmila Plaza, an alum of Juilliard School, Tatyana cultivated a creative and outside-the-box method of teaching. She is highly adaptable to each student’s learning style, and sees each new student’s journey as their own unique adventure! Her friendly demeanor, patience, and energy keeps students excited and learning.
