Daryn Bauer
Piano • Bassoon
Daryn Bauer has 15 years experience teaching private piano and bassoon lessons to students ranging from 4 to 84 years old. He received a Bachelor’s in Applied Music with a focus in Bassoon Performance from the Eastman School of Music. During his time there, he also studied piano privately with Doctoral students and participated in jury exams. Daryn enjoys incorporating music theory into lessons for students, while focusing on creating a strong foundation in note reading and rhythm.
As a bassoonist with the Arabesque Winds, Daryn has performed in the Wooster Chamber Music Series, Harry Jacobs Chamber Music Series, Festival Internacional Chihuahua in Chihuahua, Mexico, Cervantino Festival in Guanajuato, Mexico, Sanibel Music Festival, the Conservatory Project at the Kennedy Center, and won first place at the International Chamber Music Ensemble Competition at Weill Hall in Carnegie Hall.
Daryn has been a resident artist at Augusta State University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Southern Mississippi, and the Michigan State University Community Music School
