Welcome to the CK Family!
Kathy Tuminello
Piano
Kathy began playing piano at age 5 and knew almost instantly that it would always be a big part of her life, and it truly has been! The opportunities began early on during her years in middle school as she not only found her love of teaching private piano lessons, but also realized her love of expression and worship through her music. At age 13 she was hired on staff at her home church as pianist/accompanist and has since been a musician at multiple other churches throughout the years. She is currently the pianist at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Largo.
Kathy continued her piano studies through high school with professor Carolyn Nickel. Upon graduation, she entered the music program at Western Michigan University majoring in Piano Performance for her freshman year, and then transferred to California State University to study under professor Sylvia Ghiglieri for the next 3 years. She has performed in numerous recitals, concerts, weddings, orchestras, and has worked as Accompanist in the music departments of several colleges and universities.
Most recently, Kathy achieved her Doctorate in Pharmacy and is working as a pharmacist for Empath Health in the hospice division. Her compassion and genuine caring attitude is what motivates Kathy to make a difference in the lives of others. With 15 years of teaching experience and a positive bubbly outlook, she finds tremendous joy and rewards in sharing her love of piano with students of all ages.
Living in delightful Dunedin, Kathy and her husband Joe are thrilled to be a part of this community and are always out enjoying all of the amenities the Tampa Bay area has to offer.
Being a part of Creative Keys Music School is a dream come true for Kathy and her hope is that she can mentor students and provide them opportunities to discover a love and appreciation
for music that will last a lifetime.
